An accomplished pianist, Carmen Huisinga is passionate about teaching a deep understanding of classical piano literature. Her personalized approach and one-on-one lessons create an ideal teaching environment, focusing in on each student's needs and interests.

After more than 25 years of experience as a piano instructor, Carmen has fine-tuned her teaching technique at all skill levels. Students ages 5 to 100 can benefit from the updated techniques and classic wisdom offered in her Coon Rapids private studio.  She also currently teaches piano part-time at Maranatha Christian Academy in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Having received instruction from distinguished music faculty, Carmen enjoys finding ways to encourage and challenge each student's musical growth and experience. In addition to performance skills, Carmen is especially enthusiastic about teaching theory and music history.

• Graduated in 2002 with a Certificate of Piano Pedagogy from St. Catherine University in St. Paul
